This month, Bitter Pops is turning 8 years old! To celebrate, join us Wednesday April 17th, for a special Red Door Whiskey Room event held in the Bitter Pops Taproom and try our exclusive anniversary Koval Single Barrel Bourbon pick! Dr. Sonat Birnecker, Owner and President of KOVAL Distillery, will be here sharing the KOVAL story and Sophie Zuanich, Midwest Market Manager, will walk us through a tasting of five different Koval expressions.
This event is part of our “Celebration of Collaboration” theme for our 8th Anniversary highlighting community and partnerships. KOVAL was Founded in 2008 by husband-and-wife team, Dr. Robert Birnecker and Dr. Sonat Birnecker Hart, KOVAL began as the first distillery to open in Chicago since the mid-1800s. Prior to starting the distillery, Sonat and Robert had established careers in government and academia, but chose to forge a new path together. Their goal with KOVAL was to marry centuries of tradition from Robert's Austrian distilling heritage with state-of-the-art modern technologies - all with the aim of bringing heightened levels of consistency and creativity to the world of spirits.

- The event takes place inside of Bitter Pops Taproom and will be held from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Guests must be 21 years of age to participate
